One foot away
My anticipation fills my lungs
As joy wells from inside bursting from it's darkened well
A phoenix ablaze in the sky for all to see
And a few to envy
Midnight
A new day dawns as the future is birthed
Alive
Healthy and with all it's fingers and toes
To stretch forth and claim what is it's birthright
Love

Resting in the room in my heart
Dancing with our souls entwined
But for now it's six steps away from midnight
